In her most recent work Hoogeweegen looks at using vivid colour and abstract wet mark making to accentuate and enjoy visual sensations in nature; be it standing in a large open landscape under a magnificent sky; the way sunlight falls against a window at the end of the day; or the pleasure of floating with abandon in a body of water.
